Japanese kabuto (samurai helmet) Kabuto is displayed during kodomo no hi (Children’s Day) to express hope that each boy in the family will grow up healthy and strong.

Thank you so much! Please feel free to reblog any time. I actually lived and worked in Japan for over 10 years, so had the chance to travel all over the country. I still visit Japan regularly and love taking pictures of the beautiful castles, temples, shrines, gardens and cherry blossoms.
